The U.S. CAPITOL CLASSICS was started 27 years ago in Washington D.C. in an effort to bring national level competition to the Nation’s
Capital. After competing over a decade in top tournaments across the U.S., it was my belief that some of the top competitors in America lived
right here in D.C. The only thing preventing them from becoming nationally rated was that financially it was impossible for them to travel to the
numerous tournaments that were required.
The next best thing was to bring a national tournament to the Mid-Atlantic region. This has proven to be very successful because years
later almost every national martial arts star has competed in the U.S. CAPITOL CLASSICS. Click on the link below to view the past grand champions of the classics.
